Cape Heartache takes its cue from a fictional novel about Philip Sava's teenage expedition to the Pacific Northwest coast in 1881, where he built a homestead among old-growth trees and fell in love. It smells of a damp forest: Douglas fir, pine resin and western hemlock. A touch of strawberry and vanilla leaf softens the picture before it settles into old-growth woods and a misty, mountain-fog feel.

Created by perfumer Josh Meyer and launched in 2013.
